From Apprentice to Master Plumber

Third Generation, Same Standard

Michael J. Fafara, owner of B&B Plumbing Company, is a third generation plumber. He was introduced to the trade at a young age, tagging along with his father on service calls. That early exposure turned into a lifelong career. Mike started as an apprentice while still in high school and kept working through college, eventually earning both his Journeyman and Master Plumber licenses.

For over a decade, Mike sharpened his skills at the family business, Fafara Plumbing and Heating Inc., based in Westwood, MA. When he was ready to grow beyond one town and carry the family legacy further, he and his wife Colleen founded B&B Plumbing Company to bring the same trusted, hands on service to more communities across Massachusetts.

Today, B&B Plumbing Company serves West Roxbury, Dedham, Westwood, Norwood, and Needham with the same standard Mike learned from his father: show up on time, explain the problem clearly, and do the job right the first time. Mike holds Massachusetts plumbing license #16415 and still handles every job personally.

How We Got Our Name

Bentley and Bam Bam

B&B is named after two dogs who were part of the family long before the company had a name: Bentley, a Boxer, and Bam Bam, a Shepherd and Retriever mix. Mike and Colleen grew up around dogs and know the hard truth that a good dog does not stay with you forever. Naming the company after Bentley and Bam Bam was their way of letting the boys' legacy live on.

It is a small detail, but it says something about how Mike runs the business. Plumbing is a trade built on trust, showing up, and treating people the way you would treat your own family. Naming the company after two dogs that meant everything to his own family was never a marketing decision. It was personal.
